Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Spice Bot, its checkout and installation pages, Discord commands, market responses, and related support services. By purchasing, installing, authorizing, or using Spice Bot, you agree to these Terms and the Spice Bot Privacy Policy. If you act for a Discord guild or another organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

Eligibility and Discord Authority

You must be at least 13 years old, meet the minimum age required in your country, and be legally able to enter this agreement. You must have Discord's authority to add applications to the selected guild. You are responsible for the guild, channels, and permissions you select during installation.

The Service

Spice Bot provides auction-house price checks, grade-aware item context, market summaries, and related community market tools. Features, commands, supported items, data sources, and response formats may change as the service and source data improve.

Plans, Renewal, and Taxes

Spice Bot is offered at $2 USD per month or $20 USD per year unless a different price is clearly shown before checkout. Subscriptions are processed by PayPal and renew automatically for the selected billing period until canceled. PayPal displays the final amount, billing schedule, and any applicable taxes or currency conversion before approval.

One Subscription, One Guild

Each paid subscription authorizes one Spice Bot installation for one Discord guild. The installation entitlement is assigned to the first guild successfully authorized through the secure installation flow. It may not be shared, resold, duplicated, or used to activate additional guilds. A guild transfer may be allowed through support after ownership and subscription status are verified.

Approval and Activation

Payment creates an installation request, not an automatic promise of activation. Spice-Ex may manually review a guild before enabling service. A request may be delayed, refused, suspended, or revoked for fraud, chargebacks, abuse, unsafe configuration, violation of these Terms, or conduct that threatens Spice Bot, Spice-Ex, Discord, or other users.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel recurring billing from your PayPal account before the next renewal. Cancellation stops future renewals and access may continue through the already-paid billing period. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law, where a confirmed duplicate or incorrect charge occurred, or where Spice-Ex expressly approves a refund. Removing the bot from Discord does not by itself cancel PayPal billing.

Acceptable Use

You may not:

• use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, harassing, or abusive activity;
• probe, attack, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass access, rate, payment, approval, or security controls;
• share access tokens, impersonate another subscriber, or attempt to activate more than one guild per subscription;
• resell or commercially redistribute Spice Bot responses or underlying data without written permission; or
• use the bot in a way that violates Discord's terms, policies, or community guidelines.

Market Data and Decisions

Market prices, listing counts, trends, projections, and comparisons may be delayed, incomplete, estimated, or incorrect. They are community game-market information, not financial, investment, legal, or professional advice. You remain responsible for in-game purchases, sales, and other decisions.

Third-Party Services

Discord controls guild authorization and bot platform access. PayPal controls subscription checkout and billing. Their separate terms and policies apply to their services. Spice-Ex is not responsible for third-party outages, account restrictions, payment decisions, or platform changes.

Intellectual Property and Unofficial Status

Spice-Ex owns its original software, interface, organization, and branding. Dune-related names, game data, images, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Spice-Ex and Spice Bot are unofficial community projects and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Funcom, Legendary, Discord, or PayPal.

Availability and Changes

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Maintenance, data-source failures, Discord changes, payment issues, security events, and other circumstances may interrupt service. Spice-Ex may modify or discontinue features and may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, when reasonably possible, announced through the service or support community.

Warranty and Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spice-Ex disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spice-Ex will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Termination

You may stop using the bot and remove it from your guild at any time. Spice-Ex may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, cancellation, abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or violation of these Terms. Provisions that reasonably should survive termination, including payment obligations, intellectual-property terms, disclaimers, and liability limits, will survive.

For billing, access, cancellation, guild-transfer, or legal questions, contact the Spice-Ex operator through the official Spice-Ex support server. Do not post payment details or access tokens in a public channel.

These Terms apply specifically to Spice Bot. General use of the Spice-Ex website remains subject to the site's Terms of Use and Payment Terms.
